While sifting through the New York Times, I noticed this article on attitudes toward stay at home dads in Sweden. Apparently in Sweden, both mothers and fathers are expected to take leave to help raise their children, especially in the early years of childhood. Jobs even provide paid leave. This has become such a strong norm that those who do not take leave are looked down upon by family and friends. Do you think such characteristics could develop in Malaysia? Do you see men staying at home to raise the kids, perhaps instead of the mom. Here is the article and I'll be curious to hear what others think.
