Hi,

If you can afford one,of course you can have a maid. But just make sure the maid you'll hire is trustworthy. Check the background of that person.

Or better you can hire your own nieces or someone you know. In that way you can guarantee that you can really trust him/her...

our maid completed her contract las feb and now we are on our first month without the maid..
All work have to be divided :
1. Mom : cooking, laundry and ironing.
2. Dad : kemas rumah, lipat baju, sweeping and mopping lantai
3. Kids : tidy up their bed, homework, angkat kain baju, arrange clothing in cabinets, cuci pinggan mangkok

What can be observe is our efficiency went up.. last time maid doing work ..we can watch TV..
Now less time on TV and internet.. increase in discipline in the house.
This weekend we going to celebrate our succesful first month in a fine restaurant... icon_wink.gif

Yes, it is also about training them on responsibilities. They need to learn to at least make their own beds, wash their own school shoes, tidy up their toys etc. Mummies can't be doing all those all the time. Then we'll have having lots of exhausted mums around.

Also, train your son(s) and husband to do housework as well. It's the 21st century, after all!

Houseworks are endless. especially with babies and toddlers in the house. It is definitely better to have a maid but with risks. But then, foreign maids need guiidance and it is up to us to take the middle line in treating them, so as, not to be too bossy towards them or to friendly and chummy. Relationship limitation between employer and employee is determine by us in ensuring respect vise-versa. Once we employed a maid, we let them take over the household duties, cooking and looking after the children. It would give us, houswives , the opportuity to pursue our own interests, in business, attend courses, further studies or going out with friends. We become better mother and wife because we are not tired out at the end of the day and when a mother is happy and relax, it makes the home a pleasant place to stay and come home to.
